My trusted Cf-27 boots normally but the display has a lot of horizontal white lines across it.I can still see the actual information "behind " the lines so to speak.I thought possible video board or bad connection.I have done a bit of searching for a manual to aid in dissassembling etc,but cant seem to locate one for the CF-27(other than a users/reference manual).
Any ideas what the fault could be and a link to a service manual please
    Many thanks

If you do not find any loose cables, I would say your video chip is overheating/dying. When you have the unit apart checking connections, I would suggest putting on new thermal pads for the GPU and CPU. Chances are they have not been changed and on a unit that old, they would be pretty ineffective. Might bring the GPU back around, but usually when you get artifacts and/or lines on the display that means the GPU is on it's way out the door.

Another weird yet quick try before opening things up too much is to take out your RAM module and either try cleaning/wiping the contacts and/or replacing the RAM with another good one.
It's worked before for myself. I googled this once for a friend that wanted the video chip changed out, and found a u-tube video explaining this fix. It worked! Best regards...

After stripping the CF-27 and cleaning connectors etc and reassembling the display issue remains.Dont think it is worth spending any money on it,so I have a "working" Cf-27 if anyone would like to have, they can collect from Hampshire UK or I can post if willing to pay shipping costs.
