    Greetings All;
    As a newby to the forum I would first like to say THANK YOU ALL. I have already obtained enough info to get my little toughbook on its feet. I recently purchased 14 27LBGA's for near nothing. I have the touchscreen running and found a good dvd player on this forum.
    My question would be the best route to go for wifi on the road and ethernet at home. These units have the Sierra wireless SB300 analog cell modems (which appear worthless) and the hardware manager says they have an Aztech MP3930VW internal modem.
    I would love to get where I need to be without having to have cards hanging out the side. Will the Cisco 350 wireless card Do the wifi? I undestand that it will fit in the hidden pci slot under the motherboard. Is there anthing better that will fit here and still connect to the original connector. I have read mods on the cf28 antenna, does this apply to the 27 as well?
    THX in Advance

    The CF-27 only has a mini pci slot under the motherboard and it was only designed ti work with the aztech modem and wireless pci cards won't work.

    Unless you know somthing we dont your only option is for a cisco 350 or 352 card in the pcmcia slot and attach a mmcx male connector to an internal flag antenna and locate it under the palm rests. This is why I went with the cf-28.

    This is what I will eventually do with my cf-27 but right now I am having to much fun messing with my cf-28.

    Oh and don't forget that the cisco 350 series only support WEP security which will not work with my wpa2 security, which is why I lost interest in the project.

    Welcome to the madness.
