    I got a spare CF-28 laying around.

    If anyone has the time...

What would I have to do to run Hulu on a 780p with HDMi and/or RCA inputs.

    TIA

HDMI on a CF-28 isn't going to work man... The P3 CPU can't handle it (even if you have 1GB RAM) - it just won't do it...

Consider a newer CF-52 with a 2.26GHz or 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo with the 1920x1200 High def screen

    Good luck!

    P.S. WTH is "hulu"?

    http://www.hulu.com/

Trying to cut down on expenses by dropping satellite.

Basically just using the TV as a monitor.

Ahh, I see... I actually created an account there and tested it out... pretty cool!!! that wouldn't have live TV though.

I'm getting a little off topic... Yeah - I donno that that will work on a CF-28 man... Maybe some input will come from the other members here within the next day or so.

I have not tried HULU, but you really need a newer model (like the 52 that was mentioned) due to the graphics card. The best one now (as far as I know) is the upgraded 52 that was mentioned as it has a graphics card with either 256 or 512 dedicated (pretty sure it is the 512). Without the decent card, it just won't stream right and I always got a fair amount of pixalation. You can also try some of the TV cards (either PCMCIA or USB) and get the digital over the air stations.

You could just get a cheap AppleTv and run XBMC and viola, you have Youtube, podcasts and free Hulu....not to mention if you have your DVD's backed up on a drive at home it can go get em, and show you the cover art on the TV and let you pick what movie to watch (IN HD)

If you go about the TV tuner card approach with the CF-52 I would reccomend the XPRESS CARD type, NOT USB or PCMCIA just because the xpress bus is MUCH faster and designed to do high def...

I run HULU all the time on a parts MK1 29 I have collecting dust. I use the video out straight to my HDTV with a audio cable from the headphone jack to the tv audio in. I have been doing this for over a year now and have had zero problems. I see no reason whatsoever a 28 couldn't do it too. My family and I gave up cable over 5 years ago and between HULU, netflix, and blockbuster, we have NEVER looked back. It's not for everyone though.

    Follow up:
Got it going with one of these and a VGA cable. Hooked up my wireless mouse and am watching free TV on a 42" tv.

BTW, I know there is a lot of "free" TV out there, but I live about 60-70 miles from the nearest broadcast stations and in a low area. Receptions sucks at my house, so I have been buying satellite service for YEARS. I am experimenting so's I can dump the sat.
