I see these guys on ebay all the time that sell CF-28 HD caddies, often complete with a HD. I cant figure out where such a steady supply comes from? I mean I think government agencies usually destroy them when they release their computers for sale right? I've searched high and low on the net for other sites selling them and I haven't had any luck. Anyone have and ideas or suggestions where these come from or where to get them on a regular basis?

You can buy them at www.heartlandsi.com. I'm not sure of the current price but they always have them.

Yes... A lot of them come up on ebay from time to time. A ton of them have been taken apart for their parts. So there are a ton of individual parts. I know of a guy who sells them for $110 (I think) and has the hard drive already loaded with the OS and drivers... If you are interested PM me and I'll get you his email...

Find whoever does the data shredding for a local municipality and convince them to only shred the drives!
