The different colours indicate a different amp-hour rating. In the CF-28's, Green is the best, blue is low end, and yellow is middle.

In the CF-28 the green tab is the later, higher capacity battery. I think the yellow tabs are the CF-29 equivalent. Keep in mind that "new" does not necessarily mean good! The batteries have a definite shelf life, used or not, so the fact that the battery has never been used does not mean it will have a good service life. I have had a lot of new batteries, some were DOA even though the original package had never been opened. There is no readily apparent manufacture date that I can find on any Panasonic batteries.

Yes, we understand that... but Panasonic declared the CF-28 End of Life in 2005 or 2006, and haven't produced NEW batteries since. This means that any NEW Panasonic batteries for the 28 are NEW OLD STOCK; and Li-Ion batteries have a limited shelf life. I don't believe they have declared the CF-29 End of Life YET, so NEW NEW batteries are STILL available.

Just because someone found a cache of unused Panasonic batteries for the 28 doesn't make them NEW.

As usual.... someone here will most likely order to see.... Someone posted a link (Or was it a PM) that linked to new CF-29 batteries... $52 plus $6 shipping I think. They were blue tabbed batteries but give over 4 hours use! I just ordered a few more!
