The IDE 7200 rpm drives are very hard to find now as they have been discontinued.

Most are pretty expensive if you do find one out there.

This is the kind of drive you need but it is out of stock now.

The largest drive they made in IDE 7200rpm's was a 100gb hard drive.

You can search ebay for some as there have a few on there every once in a while.

Make sure the drive is 2.5" and is IDE or PATA interface not SATA

As James says the ide 7200 2.5 laptop drives are not in production any more.

The Samsung HM160HC is the drive that I use now

Its very good for a 5400rpm drive

    Read the reviews on it

The 7200rpm drives that we are after for upgrades on the older toughbooks is the old pata standard
I think only Hitachi and Seagate made them
The new interface standard for hard drives is sata and as the demand for these pata drives slowed down they were discontinued.

Manufacturers make production runs of set amounts in high numbers for economic profits
Usually production runs are not repeated and instead units replaced with upgraded models
The upgraded models in this case now are the sata standard

That sucks, doesn't the CF-29 also use PATA?
