Hey guys, I'm new here from Texas and just got a cf-28. I did a search trying to find if anyone else had this problem, but was unsuccesful. I have the backlit keyboard, not the rubber one that tears on my buddy's 28, but just a regular one. When I type it enters in extra space marks or a bunch of zero's. Also if any one knows where I can get a key clip or the key retainer scissor like things that are under the S key I would appreciate it. I looked on ebay and the only guy I could find selling them did not have one for mine.

    Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum!!! sounds like you just have sticking buttons. try taking they keyboard of and cleaning it with hot water and maybe a light solvent like 409 or something. make sure you rinse it very well and let it dry for a few hours under a fan. I have done this a few times with the cf29 emissive keyboards that were all sticky from spills and once they are dry just through them back on and poof problem solved.

I just did the alcohol dip and swish on mine. Blew it out and let it dry. Been working fine for a year or so...

Regular keyboards are VERY cheap for these models... (Std NOT illuminated)

If the cleaning doesn't work... But it should...
