    Hello;
    I've bought 256MB RAM (Infineon PC100) for my CF28 (MK1, P3 600MHz, 128MB build in), and have some problems with it :) . In BIOS or Windows I see only 256MB of memory (of total 384 ;)) What can be wrong? Ram chip? This CF28 according to manual should support 384MB of memory.

    Where can I find BIOS for MK1?

    Mine had the same problem, and would only show half of the RAM that the add-on chip contained.

    Bios has something to do with it I believe, but it could be a hardware limitation to double sided chips.

    The RAM has to be the type that has 8 small chips on each side. If the one you bought has 4 big chips on each side it will not work on your MK-1 or it will read half the capacity.

    OK, thanks.
    I'll try to find one-side chip.

    Where can I find BIOS for this CF28? I've searched at ftp.panasonic.com..... Maybe there is a chance that it would help.

    The maximum ram chip for MK1 is 256MB? (as manual say?)

    You might try Memtest. It is freeware you can download. I test all my new sticks of RAM with it.

    Try it. You'll like it.
