    Wonder if is backward compatible to USB 1.0 might be a short range answer to those of us who still use a cf-27.

    While backward compatible, you'd still get the pop-up message about performance once plugged into a USB 1.0 port, as with most 2.0 thumb drives, external HDDs and even USB broadband modules.

    I do get the message about the usb port (pretty much with anything I plug in it goes away though) but the card works flawlessly...a little less range than say a 3Com Xjack (which is what I was using) but it will connect anywhere in my house.

    Can you tell us if you are using this under Windows, or any Linux-type variation? If the latter, is it recognized properly?

    I am using the microsoft client under xp...I believe they do have one of these for linux though...
