    CF-28 Screen swap/no touch to touch

    I have a super clean great CF-28 and would like to know if it can be converted to a touch screen.. I hae checked threads till I'm dizzy and can not find anything. Thanks

    Yes it can, the connections for touch and non touch CF-28s are the same. Once you make the switch you will need to enable touch in bios and install the touch screen drivers the procedure for which is spelled out in detail in the stickies. Welcome to the forum,

    Just one thing to add.If you are just adding the touchscreen and controller board you are good to go with any cf28 touchscreen of the same size but if you are swapping out complete LCD/touchscreen assemblies the ones from the mkI (600mhz) will NOT interchange with the ones from the mk2/mk3 (800mhz 1ghz).The motherboard connectors are wired in a different way
    If you have a mk2 or mk3 you can even change the screen size (12 to 13 and vice versa) as long as the donor came out of another mk2 or mk3.
