Hello, I saw a Cf-28 MK1 on eBay today and it has a wireless card with something called a R902M. I think it’s by Rim? I know there is a wireless thing that uses the mini pci where the hard drive is. All I know is that it may or may not work.
So what is important. Can I use with the EMP-8602S with the OEM antenna? Or can I use the other one? Also yes I have read the Cf28 faq and I saw that RIM cards are something different.

And here is a link I found on a search on google

That OEM antenna is set for 900mhz.

Wifi is 2.4 or 5 ghz. So if you use the OEM antenna, you will not receive anything.

Get a proper wifi antenna. They are cheap.

Somewhere in a box of CF-28 parts I have some OEM wifi antennas that fit into the hole at the top of the display. They look almost exactly like the CDPD cell antennas but a tad shorter? Back when CF-28 were popular I made some wifi kits and should have a few still .... somewhere ....
