Greetings,
I have just began my Toughbook addiction with the purchase of a Second-Hand CF-28 Mk.II from a flea market.
I am currently running a fresh install WinXP x86 SP3, but I am unable to find any drivers (neither on the forums; most links have expired, nor on the official website).
I'm mostly interested in the WinXP x86 (32 bit) drivers for my model, but it'd be wonderful if someone also had the Win2000 drivers, since XP isn't really running that well.
Thank you for your assistance!
EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention this: I've installed the network driver from the official Intel website, but I am having issues w/ my internet. My status is displayed as "Connected", but I am unable to access any websites through Internet Explorer. Pinging google.com through the command prompt shows me that packets can be sent/received, but that's about it.

nevermind----not paying attention yet this morning.
Try mk3 drivers.
Use 7zip to open the archive then install the drivers.

This works fine As long as you can open the file

Hint/tip: use a another computer to download everything you’ll need (example drivers, file opening tools,et,etc)
Edit: Use what @Shawn said in the first reply. It works great

Anyways, I'll be booting up my CF-28 now and I will begin installing the Win.XP drivers for the Mk.3. I'll provide further info about the situation
EDIT: Apparently I get an error whenever I try to open the Mk.3 driver .exe files stating that "This machine does NOT support" them.

They look the same as mine when I bought mine from Heartlands many years ago. Some are printed on white CD's and some are lazered on

Now, I'll have to see if the ethernet issue I had before is fixed. I'll keep you updated.Wyoming88!, Shawn and toughasnails like this. -
Your issue with the internet is why I went to Linux OS for my 28...
That and a better WiFi card

I sent the seller a message asking about them. What I am wondering is...XP on a FZ-G1 MK2 ?? I thought they were W7 ??

Alright, I've installed another browser (since chrome kept giving me errors while installing) and it all works just fine.
Now I'll have to install some low-resources antivirus (Bitdefender gave me a warning about the poor performance of my PC), and I am set.
Thank you for all your help boys!

New info:
Use MK3 drivers for a MK2. Don’t for the MK1. The MK is basically a new computer. Like a Ford F-150 is the MK1 and the F-250 is the MK2 and MK3. I personally don’t like MK1 CF-28s but if I get offered one it’s something I think about every day then I would get it
