Came across this link in another thread:

    https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/pc/cgi-bin/itn/toughbook/dl01.cgi

and noticed that only the CF-28 version 3 was listed in the drop-down menus when hunting for various drivers (specifically I was looking at touchscreen drivers so I can get them installed before I look at sourcing a touchscreen LCD lid). I tried grabbing the touchscreen driver from the site and it refused to install saying my system isn't supported.

I'm aware that there are places to get drivers that are not official panasonic locations but thought I'd try an official location to see what happened...

When did Panasonic stop supporting 600 and 800 Mhz CF-28's?

    Craig.

You are correct, the cf-25,cf-27 etc are taken off the main download site
They, and older drivers are available here

    ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/pub/Panasonic/Drivers/notebooks/

Its a little harder to find what you are looking for, you have to download them all and sort them out individually

    Not one of us Cap

I say that as he has a hot link to another forum, not ours

But he is a Toughbook enthusiast :)

Nice to know we have other options if we get frustrated here by the “University kids” ;)

Nice work on his part, all the drivers are well organized

Only possible problem is that he has to keep the newer models updated as Panasonic adds updates from time to time

I would always want to check the official Panasonic sites for those updates

You are of course correct, but lets hope he keeps this site up, its a great source for legacy drivers. How soon do you suppose it will be before there are CDs up for sale on eBay with "hard to find Toughbook drivers"? The site seems to have been up for less than a month, that's probably why no one here stumbled on it before. I was looking for any CF-VDW07 drivers that I didn't already have. The forum link seems to be in Rob's neighborhood, Rob?

    Guys,
Apologies for going off-topic a wee bit but out of curiosity, followed the link and searched for my CF-48E4KFUKM. It states...
    MK1 (CF-48M, N)
    MK2 (CF-48P, R)
    MK3 (CF-48S)
    MK4 (CF-48V)

There isn't such a model number at panasonic.ca as well, so can anyone advise which mark model is the CF-48E? Many thanks.

    Ron

You found a glitch already on that download site

The best info is on the main Panasonic site here

    https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/pc/cgi-bin/itn/toughbook/dl01.cgi

    It’s a listed as a mk-5 there

One of the techs posted before on how to tell the mk#
Go into the bios and look at the revision number in the bios
    It’s the first # after the V , so V5.00Lxx would be a mk-5

Oh I just noticed your full model number Ron :)

You might want to edit your post a bit to not include the last 4 letters
