    CF-28 reporting PIII 500MHz???

    Both Windows XP and the BIOS state this laptop has a PIII 500MHz... but obviously it should have a 600MHz...

    Ideas??

    My CF-28 MK-III does it on AC. I think it's a heat reduction issue too, no reason to heat up the case/heatsink when idling.

    I've run into this before as well; try playing an MP3 or whatever low-res video you can get it to run; then call up the My Computer tab... you should see it showing full speed.

    I'm experiencing this problem to.
    My Cf28 runs quite hot when doing nothing special.
