Hey Everyone, Been reading here for a long time but now its time to post. I finally went out and bought a Toughbook for my personal use. its a CF-29NAQGZBM (XP SP3). Unfortunately, the touchscreen is giving me problems from the get go. I tried removing any crud with a piece of card stock with no results. 9-10 times the screen wont work at all and the other time the cursor retreats to the lower part of the screen, usually the lower right corner. I've tried a few remedies I've seen on here with no results. So, I've decided to replace the touch panel. Does anyone have any tips on pulling out and re-inserting the panel back into the bezel? I dont want to risk breaking or cracking anything in the process. I was also wondering if anyone has the part number for the panel, I cant seem to find it anywhere. Thanks!!
Joe

Forgot to mention, I get a Parameter Input Error when I try to calibrate the screen.

there are several of the gurus like ohlip and sadlmkr that have the secret for doing this sort of thing. occasionally you'll see someone advertising on fleabay for this repair. don't know them but the aforementioned guys know their stuff. otherwise look for a screen that is touchscreen optioned and just swap them on your laptop. sometimes you can get a reasonably good deal on them. this is a very touchy subject as mnementh would say...Driller

50 bucks plus return shipping. That NAQ is a nice unit. As far as a new Touchpanel goes take a look here: TEST site:forum.notebookreview.com/panasonic - Google Search (replace TEST with key word) and here
