    Hi,
Apologies if this is a re-post but can anyone explain, or point me at an explanation, of the different battery types/tab colour codings for Toughbooks (specifically the CF-29)?

    Cheers,
    n

The CF-29 comes with two main battery types... The blue tabbed 6.6Ah li-ion and the yellow tabbed 7.4Ah (I think)... The CF-28 had a green tabbed battery available but I haven't seen one for the 29...

This is 100% correct... those 2 different batteries for the CF-29 also work/are compatible with the CF-50 & CF-51 as well... i remember when my company used to liquidate thousands of CF-50 & 51's and we always had a problem with the older crappy blue tabbed batteries!!, the yellow ones are simply better. I frequently used my cf-29 to test batteries back then as well!
