I recently purchased a refurbished CF-29 laptop, which I received yesterday. I plugged in the AC adapter and the battery light started blinking (orange). I have had it plugged in for several hours and every time I start the computer it shuts off after a few seconds. I there a way to run the computer on AC power without the battery and how long does it typically take to charge a battery? Thanks,
-
I think your battery is dead
Does it shut down on ac power or only on battery running?
Normally you can run the machine from ac power only. -
Yea, you don't need a battery, they will run fine without it, unless it has other problems,
is the green power light to the right of the battery light lit with the power supply plugged in ? -
It shuts down on Both AC and Battery Power. Thanks for the help!

If it is a refurb then it should have some kind of warranty ?
Might want to see what they will do for you before investing too much time, who knows what else is wrong with it ? -

PM me if you can't get into the bios because of a password. They don't let us talk about such things in the forums.
