Okay... I can find EVERY driver/program for the CF-29 EXCEPT the bluetooth module program that I need. I hope it is included in the recovery CDs I have on the way. But... In the meantime I'd still like to get this working. From what I understand it is a program and not just a driver. So I'm sure the program is a large one.

I found a program on the Panasonic site but it is not the right one. Toward the installation... After all the installation boxes pop up that show "driver needed" then "driver found" another box pops up that says, 'This program will not work with your bluetooth module." So I guess there are several programs out there.

I did find one smart ass on another forum that bugged everyone for the driver and then said that he talked with a Panasonic technician who said he would email the program to him. After everyone else jumped in... The guys last post was.... "I got it!"... That's it??? That's all? I can't stand it when someone pesters everyone for an answer and then, after several people have worked their butt off trying to help the guy, he shows back up and simply says, "I fixed it!" ... With no explanation as to how he fixed it... Then he just disappears....

Gee... Can you tell I'm a little frustrated?

Man, I know just what you mean. I mean, I must have searched for almost 6 months for that same bluetooth software for the 29. Nobody was willing to help me out either. So glad I finally got it. Works like a charm...

Found this in the manual... Not sure if it helps or not. I wish I had a 29 to test on.

Nope... Not it... That's the only one out there. It installs all the way through... All the way to 99%... It installs just like the installation guide you added above... But then the dreaded, "This program will not work with your bluetooth module" screen appears.

    And Doobi..... :(

Try to manually pull out the .inf from the /Bluetooth Stack/Windows/inf folder in that file I linked.

See if that does the jiffy trick.

I'm using VMware on my Mac to test this (hoping to get the internal bluetooth card in this to respond), since it's a better shot than my bluetooth-less (sounds like a hillbilly) Toughbook.

I can get the drivers to work... I need a program for transferring. I guess I could always load Motorola Phone Tools... I'll probably just use it with my Razr... But I'd like full functionality... I'll probably have the recovery disks waiting for me when I get home... I'll check there...

Does windows have a built-in bluetooth transfer setup?

Does something like this work?; http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/wireless/2003/09/18/winxpunwired.html

Honestly I've only done a bluetooth transfer once which is kinda screwing me, and it was from my brother's phone to a Mac. Happily the Mac has built in goodies to transfer files back and forth.

I've also got zero bluetooth devices except for the card in my new MacPro... which is not recognised by VMware.

    TB,

Did you tried the latest tochiba bt stack driver?

He works fine with the billionton bt on windows xp

    This is the driver: V510122T_20070531.exe

    You can download on http://gutenbergpage.infinity.net.pl/download/?N=D

You even can turn the radio off and on with the soft.

    Greetings

Toshiba was a no go... The part number on the pc board is DL3UP1237GAA.. There is only one Google response to this... It is to a parts warehouse that has NO parts in stock.

    Back to square 1.

Can anyone post the DeviceID information? Chipset if you have it. I might be able to assist.

I'm debating whether I want to purchase this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833242003 or the smaller model by .1". (Not sure of room).

Its either that or shell 200 bucks for the internal bluetooth. :(

I installed the micro usb from kinsington and used their drivers and it conflicted with the tb. It showed 100%cpu usage all of the time. I uninstalled it and let windos install it and it works fine, BUT there is no way to disable it other than to unplug it.

So I take it if we have the correct bt softwarefrom panasonic we will have more contrll over the bt??

I wonder if the internal bt from heartlands comes with any software??

Is it worth the cash for the internal Bluetooth? I am thinking of just purchasing the microUSB BT adapter and spend the cash on the GPS unit. I could use that over in europe.

I was going to get the internl until I found the micro usb one. It fits in the back with the door closed (at least the kinsington one does). It works fine. There is also a billionton one with a ittle folding antenna that is pcmcia that works even better as far as range. do a search on here there are a few threads and I postedpics of the micro installed.

Depends how you use your TB and for what purposes. For under $50.00 on ebay, you can find a Billionton PCMCIA BT card with folding antenna that stores in the 29 with the PCMCIA door shut. It is a class 1 and works super with the door open and the antenna up. It works as good as my Kensington USB BT adapter, even with the antenna stowed and the PCMCIA door closed.

Works for me, but it's your choice.

James... Yes... I have it but it is a LARGE program. PM me your address and I'll burn it to a CD and mail it to you. (Unless you have an emailaddress that takes big files.)

I know this is an OLD thread but though this might help those that are seaching... Like I just did to get mine working.

    I found this :
    https://ftps.panasonic.com/human.aspx?r=2126695130

    login as:
    User: customer
    Password: Toughbook32

    after a little searching
there is one file about 35m and another at about 140meg
I think these are what Rick was talking about.
I hope this can work for those that need it.

    Enjoy

When I installed my RocketFish Micro Bluetooth thing from Best Buy, it installed some "widcomm bluetooth stack" that seems to do a pretty good job.

Well. The smaller file worked, but

It gives me a 29days left nag
The larger file must be what you tried and almost to the end
and got the dreaded not compatable nag.

So me's lookin around for the correct one
Bluetooth v1.2 is the one I'm thinking I need

Hate to bump an old thread, but I am having the same problem with a CF-29CWPCCKM. I was able to locate drivers for the built in bluetooth here: http://www.pc-ap.fujitsu.com/support/drv_lb_s6120.html

I downloaded both blutooth zip's posted on the previous page. The first one (140 MB) indicated that it wasn't compatible with the built in bluetooth module an the second one is a trial that will expire in 30 days.

Anybody come to a solution to this problem? IE anybody find a bluetooth manager program that works with this built in bluetooth module?

    Thanks!!
