    Hi all,

just wanted to say a big thankyou to all on this forum especially ToughBook who have helped me to successfully swap my cd for a DVD drive.

This has made me realise 2 things...

    1. when you install a slimline (9.5mm) dvd drive you have to modify the side carrier plate ( elongate the holes) to give it enough clearance to get the holes to line up with the drive holes. (forgive me if everyone already knew this)

    2. the old eyesight ain't what it used to be....had one of the old helping hands with a magnifier, but it's just not cuttin the mustard anymore...oh to get old.... :D ... so what do you guys use??????

    Hey Mick,
Thanks for sharing your experience with the dvd swap. I'm looking to install a dvd drive in my CF-29 mk3 and I've been reading post on it trying to gather info and tips.
