I've purchased a used CF29 to run my Land Rover diagnostic software (Testbook) as it is perfect for the job it needs to do.

The problem I have with it is that it will not communicate with the Vehicle Communication Module using the standard LAN port. If I disconnect the LAN cable from the CF29 and plug it back into the old Acer I use, it will communicate as normal.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why the LAN port will not work?

Is the LAN port "enabled" (turned on) in the BIOS?

Another place to check is in Windows itself. It could be disabled there too.
