    Hello Toughbook users.

    Well could-of-should-of bought a second HDD caddy for my CF-29 when there was the chance.

    It will spring and I will want to take my CF-29 out to the field. To be safe, It would be good to utilize the Toughbook's swappable HD feature. Before installing all that GPS related software.
    So I would plan on keeping the original HD w caddy as a backup and use a newly purchased drive with caddy for all this freshly installed GPS software, Maps, junk, etc. Sound simple enough right?

    Well now the hard part.

    I am looking for a HD caddy at a reasonable price or an HD caddy with a HD compatible with my MK2. This has meant hours of web based scouring and placing Bids on Ebay to little or no avail.

    I did remember how to do the proper HD swap thanks to our NBR Modder-ator;

    And I am also considering creating a parts list to perhaps make a poor mans
    caddy.

    But the fundamental questions should occur first.
    What HDs would be compatible with the BIOS of my CF-29 MKII (CF-29ETKGZKM)? Is the largest size fixed at 320g?
    Any brands to avoid. Any Businesses that are good/bad for parts?

    Any other pitfalls to avoid? How much $$ would be too much, When I do find one available?

    Thanks for any type on information on the subject.

    Oh, I found this site on Ebay. Not sure if this is a legitimate hack/workaround.

    A little off topic But Panasonic is supposed to have there new Rugged camera available in Mid March. I want it cause this one is freeze proof.
