This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     CF-29 Illuminated Keyboard Issue

    I just experienced the same issue as described in this closed thread:

    Wherein the keyboard would light up ONLY while one was holding the switch down; it would not toggle. After trying several times to reseat the the connectors from the keyboard with no joy, I uninstalled the sub-connector board and inspected the connectors for the ribbon cable that runs between it and the MB (This is shown in the pic in the last post in the thread). While I did NOT find anything visible wrong, once I put it all back together the keyboard worked perfectly, all Off + 4 levels of brightness.

    So if you encounter this issue, check that sub-connector board. It worked for me. :D
