Hello! I dont know if theres anything to ask about but have you guys seen the green dot on the left side of an CF-29 12,1 Screen?
I guess its a king of light sensor because when i bought the CF-29 it seemed to work. Now i had to restore it complete but since that, the light sensor doesnt seem to work.
Do you know if it needs a driver or something? I cant find any on toughbook.eu

    Thank you!

I don't think there is a driver for that... There isn't for the 28 anyway...

Have you shined a VERY bright flashlight into the sensor? Have you cleaned it?

I don't know if anyone has taken it apart prior to you owning it... It may be disconnected... You never know.

the sensor on the 12.1 screens is a uv ray sensor. basically if it detects sunlight it shuts the back light off and will use the sunlight to illuminate the screen.

    its called a transflective screen.

the 12.1 screens are noticeably darker than even the touchscreen equipped 13" 29s.
