Hi, my first post here on your great forum :hi2:

I have a CF-29 Mk-IV running Windoze 7 (32bit Home Premium edition ), and am based in the UK (England )..

I have a Siemens AG WM USB modem fitted in the sled above the battery. The LEDs flash correctly on it - i.e. half second flash whilst linking to network, then a quick flash, slow pause when connected. If a dial it's number from another phone, the "envelope" (busy?? )LED comes on, plus I get a ringing noise, then drops onto voice mail - heard in the phone I'm ringing it from.

I appear to have the correct drivers, as when in device manager, I can interrogate it. I have tried the additional initialisation command "AT+CGDCONT=1,IP,GIFFGAFF.COM" in the advanced tab of the modem properties of the device manager (giffgaff.com being the APN name of my ISP ).

I have searched and loaded a bit of software called Checknet - ( although this does not show up - either in the list of programs when hitting the Start button, or in the Panasonic folder in program files ). I suspect this is not compatible with W7.

    Help!!

Does anyone know what I'm missing?

Is there a universal connection manager, suitable for W7 that I could download?

Is there anyone else in the UK who've got their Siemens modem working under W7?

Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi, thanks for your speedy reply. Since I put W7 on, the modem was the only thing I haven't been able to sort out. I've read the stickies, and searched all of the Panasonic sub forum, but have not come across a post regarding the Siemens modem under windows 7.
