Do you have the features of the CWPCCKM, rubber KB, 60gb hdd, 512mb, Bluetooth, EVDO or the CTKGBKM, 40gb hdd, 256mb, GPS or neither? Certainly sounds like a Frankenbook.

MK1's do not display the hours in the BIOS or anywhere else.

Both are Mk1 units: which best describes yours?

The Total Operating Time numbers show on the Mk4 and Mk5 units; not the earlier units.

It does sound like its been apart for one reason or another. Personally, I would pull the bottom back off and make sure the thermal pads are ok or just replace them. It's hard to tell who had it apart or how good of a tech they are. It would be annoying to see the thing get toasted from overheating because they didn't replace the thermal pads.
