I just purchased a non-touchscreen CF-29. From what I have read on this forum, the CF-28 will accept a touchscreen with no additional hardware. Will a CF-29 non-touchscreen model accept a touchscreen? Besides the drivers, what else would be required to get this working?

Hello newb!
.
Yes a non-touchscreen CF-29 will accept a touchscreen.
Once you swap it out you will have to be sure to enable it in the BIOS. Once that is done then, like you said, you will need the touchscreen/touchpad drivers.
I had a non-touch CF-29 back a LOOONG time ago and I upgraded it to a touchscreen. -
Thanks for the info!

A few searches will turn up either exact directions on how to do this or PDF files showing how it is done.
It's a 20-30 minute job to swap them both. Maybe an hour is you haven't done it before. -

No the touchpad by the mouse can stay the same. Adding touchscreen to a cf-29 is just plugging in one more connection then the non touchscreen.
The hard part is just actually swapping the touch part of screen and not messing things up.

Ya i have been slammed at work with training new workers. It keeps me real busy. Usually tend to work 4hr or more of overtime everyday.
I have been jumping on and off here but my time has been real limited. I am done with that now so hopefully i will back around again. Unless they unload another new guy on me.
