I just received my cf-29 off ebay. The laptop is suppose to be fully working but it does nothing. I charged the battery for 4 hours and tried to turn it on and nothing happened except the status light comes on and the "Power Status of the multimedia Pocket" flashes on for a split second . Ive tried a lot and got nowhere. I bought it off of ebay and he said it works great. I tried emailing the jerk with no answer and I only have a 3 day return policy. Any help would be great

Remove the optical drive/caddy, add on ram , hard drive and see if it will go into the bios screen

There is a lot of "CF-29 listed as Fully working but have no HDD, no DVD No battery, No cord, no OS, no COA and no ram. Verify you have at least a hard drive.

Maybe the bios has a bad flash or is totally erased.
Im guessing if the bios is corrupt it will not boot but it will light up the led

2-3 seconds? Really? It should only take .25 - .5 seconds.... I've never had one take longer...

Your CF-29NAQGZBM is a Mk5 unit and as such requires 200-pin DDR2 SODIMM to upgrade the RAM.

Since your unit has 512MB Base RAM you are "maxed out" with the addition of a 1GB memory module.

We like the RAM from Crucial Technologies (a Micron Technology company).
