I tried a 5.0 mp usb skype ebay item120543760754, doesn't need drivers. have 2 and work good. I believe the seller is rollerpak or something like that. ther are other versions similar to it that are around 12 bucks. mine was 10 +s&h. check out the thread on modding for internal webcam that onarikiss has been doing. talk about genius, impressive.....Driller

Going over in the afternoon to check but it's coming from Burbank, CA, USA so my guess is Friday. Never got any tracking but he said it was coming US Postal Service Priority Mail which is 3-5 days but I know better than that but when I do get it I will post it here and ~Toughbook Talk~ Toughbook Discussion • Index page :D

No, Blair I don't work at Flakeboard but now I know who you are. Silly question: what do you do with so many laptops
I hope to get my first cf-29 working like I want and stop there but from what I'm reading, toughbooks are a "sickness". Once I get my CDROM swapped for a DVDRW, I'm going to watch for a touchscreen that works 'cause mine doesn't work.
    We'll see what happens

I lucked out my 1st one is working touch. Once you finnish a computer you end up taking on a project computer to continue the routine. Micro center needs to reserve a line for me by appointment. Warm slippers and coffee optional.

Yes it's my CF-29. The CF-29 was originally the project till i ran across the CF-51 with damaged keyboard. After a quick bid on eBay keyboard with local pickup, I was off playing crossfire for hrs with it. No tools needed to open it and swap keyboards.

Something I learned about the CF-51 is it's not the keyboard a lot of times it's the motherboard. I bought 2 but was lucky I did not have a lot tied up in them. Got my last few from BuyBest14, 1.6 Duo 4gb ram and that 51 flies

Check out this toughbook site http://www,toughbooktalk.com You also do not need 15 post to PM any members

It's not going to happen because as you are looking for a touchscreen your going to see some good deals on the 29-1.6 and it's all down hill after that. Since you do not have 15 posts to PM members join toughbooktalk and send me a PM. If you need anything I am here.

I had a working touchscreen untill I restored it with the recovery disk. I have done this many times so I am still working on this problem

Lucky me it was just the keyboard. Keys were stuck and broken off. Someone saw those CF-31 youtube videos and... I got lucky that was the only thing wrong. No locked out bios or TPM like all the horror stories I heard and hourmeter is 4060. Mine is 2.00 GHz and 2 Gigs of ram. If I didn't have a buyer I would have tried to swap hard drives and ram since the caddys are like half the price of the 29 with twice the size HDD. Since I isolated myself from it, the CF-29 is starting to seem faster.

That explains the PMs thing cause I posted that I couldn't figure it out in the decals thread. Then 2 post later it was there plain as day making me feel like an idiot for posting before.
