CF-29 cd question

I have a CF-29 model, but it only has a floopy .. a friend had a cd that just slide into the port and I was good to go..until he took it back. I have searched on Ebay and google'd a "cd for panasonic cf-29" nothing. The one I saw on E bay the company said was a replacement for a cd/dvd and will not work with a floopy caddy. I sent a question to him, explaining that a guy had one and all I had to do was slide out the floopy and insert a cd and it worked. His reply was that I would only get the dvd driver and it would not have a caddy. That I needed a caddy.
Is there anyplace, a part number, some other brand that will just slip into the "hole" after I take out the flooppy.etc where I can go and just pay for a cd or cd-rw/dvd that is a complete unit. One that has the "caddy" already w ith it. (whatever a caddy is I don't know). I did see some cd-rw's on e bay and they all say it will not work with a floppy disk drive. I don't want to order something and find out it doesn't work. BTW I enjoy this CF-29 even with a floopy. This all strated with trying to install a few programs and w/o that cd I'm done.
