    Hallow.
I need Fire Wire on my laptop.
My choice was PCMCIA card STLab IEEE1394 Firewire.
When I plugged it to the slot, Windows recognized and installed it.
But next, when I open Device Manager I see this picture.
So, do you have any idea, how to get this device working properly, please?
    Win is SP3.
Card is second hand from Ebay, sold as working.

Ops, now I see on picture.
At the first line under the Property window, there is another IEEE1394 device, which is OK.
So, what means this? One working, and one not.
When I disconnect the card, both disappear.

Also try uninstalling all your network devices, Wi-Fi Nic and Bluetooth card, as well as the 1394 card. Then let the OS reinstall them. I think that you have a conflict.

Yes, I thought the same, but there is not special driver for this card.
    They say Windows has.
If I try to refresh the driver with Windows instal CD, is it possible?
