First off, big fan of the site. Have visited off and on this last year and half checking out threads realted to CF 19/29/30 issues since I support them at my job. Nothing but great information.

So to my issue, and this is an odd one. From about the center of the screen and down, the touch funcationality works normal. From about the center of the screen and up, the mouse is off... Getting further away from where you are touching as you get closer to the top of the screen maxing out to about an inch away.

    Model: CF-29

    What I've tried so far:
    -Uninstalling the drivers
    -Recalibrating the screen
-Reseating the connections on the motherboard
-Reseating all connections on the back of the monitor

Should I just bite the bullet and buy a new touchscreen for this laptop?

Welcome!!! I have seen this once before with a CF-27 and I ended up replacing the whole screen (inverter included...) It sucks, but sometimes that's whatcha gotta do!

I have also had this problem on a few CF-29s all required the replacement of the touch panel.

So here is a question. Where does the calibration utility save the calibration settings? It is a file? A registry key?

Even when uninstalling/reinstalling the driver, I've noticed on various toughbooks that it picks up it's previous settings. Wondering if I could copy calibration settings from a working cf-29.. See what happens.

Have you tried cleaning out all the gunk trapped between the touchscreen surface and the surrounding bezel? The lower half normally catches all the dust, scum, rain, sand, (need I go on?)

    How about the Touchpad?
