I have a CF-29N that won't boot when the hard drive is plugged in. I've tried two different hard drive caddy's and two different hard drives with each caddy. Same results. Has anyone ran across this before?

Won't boot or won't power on?

Does your hard drive show up in the BIOS ?

To clarify, it won't even power on. No POST, no anything. The LED indicators for power briefly turns green, them immediatly goes off. THe light is on for maybe 0.1 seconds.

sounds like a short-circuit or overload

Maybe o short on the flat that goes from mobo to the hdd connector.

Check the pins on the edge of your hard drive. Sometimes they get bent or the connector gets installed
one pin off in either direction. It has happened to me and the laptop will only blink when trying to start.
