    Hello All

Am installing a wifii card in a federal model CF-29 model (CF29M). Was please to see the antennas were installed but hit a snag

After looking at the system and the schematic I figured out that I need to disconnect and swing the white wire currently connected to CM2 on the passthrough to become the wireless card white wire and run a new u.fl from cm2 to be the black side

Have been looking for a short 4-6 inch u.fl to u.fl jumper wire and it looks like I found lots of cheap foreign sources on ebay and one US site has a single wire for $28 shipped (about a week to me)

Just looking for a source that can deliver a single decent quality cable in a reasonable timeframe

Thanks for your time and suggestions

Actually you can by pass all those connection. Just plug in the black/ gray straight to the card main u.fl con. and then white to aux. connector. Thats it no need those jumper wire and you save money. Those original connection is only to make it easy for tech just incase of an ad on like for external antena for WWAN, wi-fi or even Gps.

Thanks Ohlip, I was considering that for a short term fix and it looked like that wire was to short to remove it from CM1 on the pass through and route it all the the way to the card. Will give it a shot

Sorry! maybe you don't get it. poor eng..ish,Lol. I mean the black coax. is the main antena cable sometimes gray color. It can hook it up straight to the wi-fi card main u.fl connector and the white coax. to the aux. wi-fi card u.fl connector.

Edit: No! its exactly the lenght that can be plug in to those connector. I have done this so many times.

    Thanks Ohlip and deere245

That wire initially looked to short but as you guys knew all along would work - LOL. It's working well

Great system, was new in the box (bios showed all of 10 hours) for $600 shipped. I think some may have balked due to the lack of WIFI but luckily the antennas were there already and you guys helped me through the cabling

Teo....and deere.....this could be one of the helpful tips for newbies. I was thinking the other day we needed a tips and tricks thread.

    Entitled:
NOW WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT ?
