All of a sudden, I get no audio from my CF-30 internal speaker...the volume is up, the mute is off, the driver is operating, I've made no changes since the last time I had the machine on (yesterday), I've rebooted, etc., etc....

I plugged in a set of headphones, and they operate normally - all the same audio controls work fine, and the audio is good - when I unplug them, no audio from the internal speaker no matter what program or setting; reinstall the headphones and everything is fine through them (still nothing from the internal speaker)

Could the internal speaker have just crapped out, or did I do something stupid and simple that I am missing ???

    TIA for the assistance...

Reinstall the audio driver by an option "Have a disk" on device manger.

Tried to reinstall the audio driver - no change...

So, I called Pan Tech, and they had me uninstall and reinstall the HoyKey apps....but that didn't work either....

So, I'll call 'em again and see what they have to say...

Sounds like the speaker took a crap. Have a tester that you could check for continuity in the speaker? If its open it bad, if not, then you have another issue.

    Speaker tested good...

Spent an hour with Pan Tech today...had me uninstall and reinstall all sorts of stuff...rebooted / re-biased about 50 times - nothing. Finally the tech suggested I reload XP and start over....Something I wasn't really interested in doing...so, I thought I'd live with the speaker out...

Then about 4 hours later, I opened up the computer, forgetting I had left it on....and I heard a familiar sound as Windows came up out of hibernation - the sound was back.

Don't know how, or why....but the internal speaker is back to normal.... :D

I get a buzzing or hissing all the time from my CF-30. I can't leave it connected to external speakers because of the constant hiss.
