The CF-29 emmisive keyboard will work with a CF-29/CF-30 and CF-31.

The general opinion between the rubber backlit and the emmisive backlit is that the emmisive one is WAY better because it's WAY easy to type on BUT is about 10 times the cost ($20 vs $150+). The rubber one is advantageous for people using TB's in sand (like in iraq) because no sand/dirt will get under the keys and stop them from being pushed down.

    Thanks

Yes, that will work - but remember, because it is rubber it will be a pain to type on.

The standard emissive cf-28 keyboard will not light up in cf-29/30

You have a MK-3 as you have the SL9300 Intel Centrino vPro processer

Here is a link to the best keyboard for the cf-29 cf-30
    NEW Keyboard CF-29 CF-30 cf-31 BACKLIT N860-1435-T001 - eBay (item 190435761603 end time Mar-23-11 17:36:00 PDT)

I have this identical keyboard on some cf-29's and cf-30's

DEWD! This is what we're talking about! Emmisive is a normal, easy to type on that LIGHTS UP! If you'd read the FAQ you would know that!

no, i thought there were 3 types

    chicklet, emmisive and rubber

i have the emmisive on my cf 29 which is backlit and has a slight rubber feel to it and nothing can get underneath the keys

on my 30 i have the normal chicklet style which has hard keys and can get underneath the keys

    i remember a pic showing all 3

No, there are three, standard non-illuminated (you're calling this chicklet), rubber backlit, and emissive which is very similar to the standard, less prone to lost keys, and illuminated(backlit).
