Ok so here is another puzzler.... I bought the ram mount docking station for my cf-30 off ebay.. it doesn't fit, when you are looking twards the back of the laptop, the connector on the far left (im assuming power supply?) doesnt fit, the one on the laptop consists of two small circles one on top of the other. the docking station is one larger circle. all of the pictures i find online are one circle.

can anyone tell me what the difference is, and if its replaceable without buying another docking station?

Sounds like the laptop has dual antennas and the dock has single antenna.

This is a single antenna dock.

On my dock, I took the antenna connector completely out.

Good call Shawn. What did you seal the hole with?

If needed it (pass-through) is an easy replacement to switch from one port to two port....or? .... Nothing has to be hooked to the dual connector...it's just a means of connecting different antennas....or not. :) Some use it for WLAN some use it for WWAN...could be bluetooth or gps easily.

OP...the full model number will tell for one thing. (OP=original poster).

We use a lot of acronyms here. Is anybody interested in starting a glossary? :D

I pulled the connector on the DOCK..I did not seal it at all.
On the laptop, I have my custom rp-sma...external antenna wifi connector.

    Hi Andrew

Yes what Shawn said! Just move the antenna connection in the dock itself.
