Greetings,
I searched a bit but couldn't find an answer.
I was wondering if I could remove the WWAN (wireless WAN 3G) card and install a SSD into the mini PCIe slot?
Here is one on amazon for $220, for 440GB

If this does work, any idea if it can be booted from?

It has to work, but I'm sure you can't boot from this drive.
Also, M550 is much better drive. -
No it won't work. The WWAN slot is USB only. A PCIE drive won't work...I did try a while back..I knew ahead of time it most likely wouldn't work, but I had the drive for another project. So I figured I would try anyway. NO joy....

One of my.. hmm.. contacts told me he has successfully installed SSD into WWAN slot of it's CF-19.
I'm not interested in this config, so I didn't want to check his words. -
What about installing the PCIe SSD into the WiFi slot, and the WiFi into the WAN slot? Wireless may be a bit slower, but that might not be an issue.

Both slots are actually USB only and therefore pretty much only good for communication devices only.
CF-30 Internal PCIe SSD?
