    Hello all,
    I have a CF-30 MK1 (CTQAZL2) with Windows 7 x86.
Everything is working fine, except of the Touchscreen.
I currently have BIOS version wb301v20 which should be the latest and compatible with Windows 7.
The MISC driver and the touchscreen driver (Vista Version) are installed. The touchscreen is shown as 'FCL USB Pen Tablet' in device manager.
I have also tried to use the MK3 Windows 7 driver for the touchscreen. The device name in device manager changes to 'FCL USB Pen Tablet (Sus)' but it's still not working (see screenshot attached)
I have also tried to use the calibration tool which comes with the driver and also the Windows 7 built-in calibration utility but both are not working.
Is there any way to see if the problem is hardware related?
As far as I know, the touchscreen is not visible in BIOS in any case (for CF-30 MK1)

    Any suggestions are appreciated!

    Thanks for your reply!
I know the article 'How to Load Windows 7 on a CF-30 MK1' and followed all the instructions

    I have BIOS v1.01L20 Embedded V1.10L11.

I have no idea if the touchscreen has ever worked, for me it's not the case.
I've recently bought this device (used one, of course).
A Windows XP factory image was pre-installed. The first thing I did was to update the BIOS and replace the standard 80GB HDD with a 160GB one with 7200 rpm and installed Windows 7 on it.

With the XP configuration I did not test the touchscreen. I have now attached the old XP HDD again --> touchscreen also not working.
But in my opinion, this is related to the newer BIOS, I have installed.
Or should the touchscreen also work with BIOS v1.01L20 and XP?

I don't think the touchscreen shows in the BIOS in the MK1 and with the updated BIOS using XP the touchscreen will not work. You must down grade to the XP BIOS for it to work. On another note when I did this...down graded back to XP I could NOT get my touchscreen to work again so I left W7 on it. The drivers I used for the touchscreen was the updated MK1 Vista drivers from Panasonic USA site.

I have tried Linux Knoppix 5.3 (quite old stuff, but the first I could grab) --> still no luck
I will download the latest Linux Mint (version 16) and give it a try

I have now also installed the Windows Vista upgrade driver (instead of the "normal" Windows Vista one) --> also no luck

I have now tried Linux Mint 16. Touchscreen still not working.
It seems that the issue is hardware related but I'm wondering why it's possible to install the driver and why the touchscreen is shown in device manager in the right way.

This same this thing happened to me. I spent many hundreds for a CF-30 MK1 and the touch screen only worked for short time.
I had to invest another hundred for a replacement screen and then the time and labor to install it.
From what I have heard a lot of these have spent most of the hours of use in a police cruiser or other vehicle in the hot sun of summer
and the heat is what damages the connections from the ribbon cable to the screen it self.
The only reliable fix is a new replacement screen.
It was worth it to get the screen replacement and to install it.
