Hi everyone. Name is Greg - I'm new here & this is my first post.
I recently acquired a low-mileage CF-30 MK1. I'm in the process, or was, of installing Windows 10 Home, 64bit. However I get an error during the installation that the laptop does not have a 64-bit processor.

Really?!?! And here I thought I knew it all. I though Dore Duo meant dual core and 64-bit processing..

I think the way it goes is a core duo is 32 bit and core 2 duo is 64 bit. FYI .,.W7 works very good on a 30 MK1. It does take a while to set up but I have done many and they do work great. When it comes to W10 I could not tell you. I have put W10 on a couple of my Toughbooks BUT every time Microsoft had a update it would break something and I would spend hours fixing it and it got to a point I was always having to do something with them laptops. Finely I put W7 back on them and never looked back. Also I don't like Microsoft's Telemetry and Tracking Service on W10.

I have not, but will head there right now. I also have another CF-30, MK3, that actually has a dual-core processor!
My SD card reader is not working.
Thanks again for all the help! -

I know I'm a little late to the game here, but yes, the above is correct. That being said, I was able to install Win10 x64 just fine on my MK3, and it runs beautifully without issues. My boss had Win10 x86 on his MK2, which was great for awhile until a botched update completely broke Windows and he decided to go back to Win7. If you have enough RAM, you can probably still get away with running Win10 x86 on your MK1 just fine as long as you're willing to spend the time hunting down all of the drivers for it.
cheetah81 and toughasnails: Same here with the SD card reader. I haven't put an immense amount of time into it, but it is the only thing that doesn't work on my Toughbook in Windows 10 x64. I have a feeling someone may just have to write us a custom driver for it.
