    Good evening
I have just loaded win7 64bitt onto my mk3 cf30, installed a media bay battery and a Samsung 250gb ssd. It is now my all time favourite laptop ever... speed is great, battery life great, emmisive backlit keyboard awesome.
After dicking around and reading the advise on here I have found that most of the cf31 drivers eventually sorted me out (from the Panasonic japan site) there is one that has stumped me.
all my hot keys work but when I use the screen brightness f1 and f2 they only temporarily change the brightness before it reverts back to the default.. I get the popup triangular scale but it wont hold the settings!
    any good ideas out there?

I just checked a few other threads that deal with this same problem and they found no fix. This is one of the problems with W7 64bit on a CF-30.

I just moved your post to a thread of it's own. This problem has come up many times so maybe we can find a fix for it now

For a 32 bit system you need to use the Vista driver for the video..

Not sure about the 64 bit Windoze

Use the Vista Driver... It will BSOD... let it reboot and try installing it again. It will work this time. Then reload your Hotkey drivers.

Of course there is a fix. Have to install Hotkey Appendix utility, if I remember it right. If not - solution is still easy. Same "problem" on CF-19, but it's not a problem :)

I have the same setup, except a Mk2 with no media battery.
I don’t have this problem at all. All of my hotkeys work, and they retain their settings after I power down.

I am having the same problem. I have installed the CF31 appendix hot key driver and the other two. Running Win 7 64 with 8gb ram. on CF30 MK3. I have tried a vista driver but it refused to load due to wrong OS. All of the other hotkeys work. Search has not turned up any clear solutions. Anybody have a specific fix?

What happens if you use the driver 8.15.10.1872? That is the only driver that I have been able to work correctly.

I had the same problem with my CF30 MK2 (Win 7 pro 32 bits), I installed recently Windows 10 pro (32 bits), and everything works perfectly, and quicker than with 7
