Model number doesn't matter but just for drill CF-30CTQCTBM.
I recently installed Mint 15 on my CF-30 MK3. Made the tweaks for Touchscreen and have been running it for days.
Today while working on this MK1 with a known defective Touchscreen I used the drive from the MK3. Worked great....I thought.
With a new touch panel I was getting errors with Calibrate_Touchscreen.
Long story short I found the caddy for this unit and ran it. Touch was near perfect. Back to the MK3 caddy and it was off.
So....looking at the numbers it finally came to me....these are TOUCHSCREEN numbers. TABLET numbers are a lot lower.
Section "InputClass"
Identifier "calibration"
MatchProduct "Fujitsu Component USB Touch Panel"
Option "Calibration" "1718 15600 1905 15685"
EndSection
And this is a XP Bios....TOUCHSCREEN not TABLET. Bios and ec 20/17.
What I'm getting at is this:
As I figure it, the OS reads the 99-calibration.conf when loading the drivers (you told it to) and then reports numbers out of range. Typical computer behavior......completely logical.
Side note: CF-19 Mark 1 is like this too?
Little bit more....If swapping drives and the XP bios is not needed set the CF-30 MK1 to the Vista bios and ignore this.![]()
EDIT:
Here's the numbers after swapping back to MK3 which thinks it's a tablet. The lower set. Copied from /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-calibration.conf. I didn't delete the file thiis time...just ran calibration until the cursor touched where I was inputting. (five times I think) Believe it works this way since the Tablet numbers are inside the range of the Touchscreen numbers.

END EDIT.

Thanks man. Great info. I will put an ssd into the CF-30Mk3 and load Mint, then pull it and put it into my CF30Mk1 and see if I get the same results. Should. I'll try to do it in the next couple nights.

One question. Are you talking Mint 15 Xfce, Mate or?? Thanks.

Installed Mint 15 Xfce on Intel 160GB ssd in CF-30Mk3. Installed and ran calibration software per your post. Removed caddy and installed into CF-30Mk1. Calibration was close enough to be able to use unit. Ran calibration software twice, second time cursor was spot on. Updated configuration file and saved. Very nice.
NOTE: CF-30Mk1 is running Vista BIOS V1.01L20 and EC V1.10L11 as I had W7 running on the unit. -
Thank you for the validation there friend. With the Vista bios MK1 thinks it's a tablet too. That was quick.
Did you check boot time yet or can you count that low. My MK3 is 8.5 seconds from grub menu to password for Mint 15 xfce. MK1 is about the same. Shut-down is under two seconds. Intel 335/240 btw.
Thanks much,
Jeff -
No problem. Glad to help out. Yes, yes it does. I even held it up to the mirror so it could see it was not a tablet, but made no difference.
Turns out I had a Mint 15 Xfce disc already burned and loading Mint onto an ssd is quick. Almost took longer swapping out the hdd for the ssd.
I have been single so long, I get tripped up on what comes after 1.Roughly 8-9 sec boot from the time the BIOS splash screen disappears until the log in screen appears on either Mk. #-4 sec shutdown time. Intel G3/160Gb here.
You are welcome,
