    Hello Everyone,

I finally broke down and bought a new (for me) CF-30. It should be arriving tomorrow. The only problem is that it does not have any of the manuals or recovery disks. Does anyone on this list either have them or know a source where icould get these? I would like to get the newest recovery disks (the ones with the Vista included on them). Thanks in advance for your help and thoughts!

Hey there, and welcome to the forum!

Your unit is new enough that most of the secondary sources for parts & supplies will likely not have what you want; your best bet is go back to Panasonic. As for the OS, you won't be able to install Vista if you don't have the Vista COA on the bottom of your laptop; just a quick heads-up.

Before you buy... Make sure you know if it is a Mk1, MK2, MK3 or MK4 model... It does make a difference. (Ask me how I know!)

Thanks for the feedback. I am not sure about the Mk1,2,3, or 4 stuff. The model number is CF-30CQQAXBM. I am told that it is the most recent model. How do I tell about which Mk it is? Thanks for the help

You've got an MK1 laptop... If you search for drivers at Panasonic's website... It will tell you what you have based on the model number...

Good is hard to judge. It's better than my CF-28 for sure :p

The MK series numbers are indicating when it came out, and yours was the first 30 series. It's the slowest 30 basically...

But I'd gladly take one if I could afford it.
