    Hi All,

Is it possible to do a Vista install with the Recovery disk WITHOUT using a DVD Drive on a CF-30 Mk2 (see signature for full spec) ?

I have the disk on a bootable USB stick which loads fine but when it's trying to do the recovery it fails with the message Not Find DVD drive (12).

Is there a way round this or do I have to do the recovery with a DVD drive (my unit doesn't have one yet).

No, the recovery disk is configured to work with a CD drive. You cannot use the Panasonic Recovery Disk with this unit if you are trying to boot from a USB thumb drive. The only alternative if you do not have an internal DVD drive would be to use an external USB powered DVD drive.

Well you deserve a big "Welcome". It's been a long time since we had a Panasonic employee on here.
