I'm in the process of replacing my Intel Wi-Fi Card with an SR-71. I found Rob's succinct instructions here. I have removed the 4 screws and the bezel but when I go to remove the keyboard it is stuck. So, I assume that it uses a two sided tape like the CF-29 to keep it stuck down(?). The question is, do you normally need to replace the tape?
Any special advice other then "go slow" to remove the keyboard? I have started wedging it from the bottom.

I few I have removed stuck back down again.

I don't bother to replace the tape, but I KNOW I will be inside it again.
The keyboard is not quite as secure without the tape, but it's not a big deal at all. I say put it down without the tape and see what you think. You can always add the tape later.
The tape is 3M VHB....VHB stands for Very High Bond.... -
I think yours is a backlit keyboard. Some of the (stock) regular keyboards for CF-30 have four pins that latch into the shell.
If it's moving it's tape. -

1. Remove the 4 screws holding down the bezel plate at the top of the keyboard.
2. Pull out the the keyboard by first gently lifting the edges to get it loose from the tape that holds it and then wedge it slightly away from the space bar side (BOTTOM) to disengage the locking tabs that fit into the case. A thin butter knife helps! Push it upward towards the function keys (TOP), but just enough to break it free. If you pull too far you will break the ribbon that comes in at the bottom of the keyboard. DO NOT bother to unplug that, just lay the keyboard back over on top of the touch pad.
3. There will be a large cover plate that will be held down by several tiny screws (the keyboard ribbon cable goes under). Remove that. It will also be secured by a piece of tape across the top. No need to pull it off, just hinge the cover back towards the lid.
4. Pull loose the two antenna cables, one black and one white. One of mine was hard to plug back into the new card. I am not sure if it is important, but I made to put the black and whites leads on the new card back were they were on the old card.
5.The mini PCI Xpress card is under there, take out the two screws that hold it secure and then pull the edge connector loose by sliding it towards the carry handle of the computer.
6. Reverse to install your new card!
Hopefully this will help someone that comes behind me. Jeff has gotten on me about not documenting my work when I succeed with a problem, so this is my way of giving back.... LoLShawn likes this. -

I think "de rigueur" would be more appropriate in this context
