Having issues with our CF-30s connecting to our Provider. It seems that randomly, anyone of our CF-30s (we have about 200 deployed right now) will not connect. We are running Mobilink and we have to use NDIS mode because of the way our users login and the security requirements of our laptops.

We have noticed that when trying to connect, mobilink first attempts a connection on UMTS, and under no will circumstances will it ever connect! But once it finds HSDPA, it will connect instantly!

Is there some kind of setting to force HSDPA? We have some older laptops using Sierra wireless and they have no issues whatsoever connecting to our provider network. We have been trying to get our provider and panasonic to resolve this issue for months.

Note: these CF-30s are running the Novatel wireless cards. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One other note...we have tried numerous drivers and software versions, and have the same problem.

There is a post on here about the dip switch setting on the modem it's self.
There is a setting for HSPDA You might check this. You have to remove the modem from the side. There will be a tiny opening with dip switches.
    Check this.

the DSW are set right...it just always seems to drop down to UMTS and will never connect unless it moves up to HSDPA. this can take from several minutes to never connecting.

Does anyone know anything about the differences between RAS and NDIS? When we connect with RAS we can get the connection, but our software doesnt appear to work on RAS only NDIS. NDIS seems to be causing us issues.

I wonder what would happen if we went to a Gobi based card?

Are these D SW settings done on the removable wireless card or somewhere else?
