Hallo
my name is Alex.
i am from Germany, so please forgive my bad english.
I have a big problem with my Panasonic CF-30 MK1
Yesterday i installed Windows 7 home 32bit.
Everything is okay, but when i switch the wlan button on, i have 7 problems in the driver manager.
there are 7 entries with MINI Card and i cann´t find any driver for this .
Wlan works.
if i turned of wlan the mini card problems are gone.
What can i do? And what is MINI card
-
My guess, and its just a guess
It could be Bluetooth as the switch not only controls your wi-fi card , it controls bluetooth as well
Read this thread on installing W7
http://forum.notebookreview.com/panasonic/476149-how-load-windows-7-cf-30-mk1-model.html
Alex -
But Bluetooth is allready installed and worked fine
Just find out, when i am ending the proz wireless WAN the entries are gone
So the Wireless WAN drivers are missing. But i cannt find one -
What is your full model number
You must have extra options that need upgraded drivers
When I load W7 I have never had 7 problems in device manager , but my cf-30 mk-1 is a basic model
Alex -
Cf-30fcu80jm
-
Your MK-2 has a few extra options
Verizon EVDO Rev A, and GPS
The missing drivers might be for the WWAN
Alex -
Yes , but i cannt find WWAN drivers for windows 7
have you a link for this driver?
Many Thanks for your help -
doesn´t work.
i can start the vzaccess manager
but then it comes a warning.
the wwand device is disable.
but it is enable.
can it be, the link you give me is only the vzaccess manager software, but no drivers?
in the vzacces ordner is a ordner drives update drivers.
but when i start this, a warning say´s its not compatible -
Try uninstalling the items that are not working in device manager and reboot
And then hope that device manager finds the drivers from the Verizon software
Here is more to try
http://www.panasonic.com/business/toughbook/computer-support-wireless.asp
Alex -
doesnt work
no drivers found -
Direct from verizon
http://www.vzam.net/UploadedFiles/Pan03_RevA_Driver.exe
Alex -
Nothing works.
no Drivers found.
the drivers form here
Toughbook Computer Support - Wireless Carrier Software
i cant download
CSA for Gobi 1000 (register to download) but i cant register. -
Your model did not show up as gobi , unless the wwan is upgaded or changed from factory
You have a Verizon EVDO Rev A
here is a direct download from the site you say you cannot download
ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/pub/Panasonic/toughbook/downloads/WWAN/Software/VZAccess-6.2.2.zip
The other link Direct from verizon is a direct download as well
http://www.vzam.net/UploadedFiles/Pan03_RevA_Driver.exe
Downloaded using IE 8
Within 24 hours one of the forum members here that are running W7 on their cf-30 with a verizon wwan will confirm that this is the correct software to use ,or correct me and provide the link that they used -
no way.
i dont no, what can i do.
nothings works.
no drivers found. -
Could you download the two files I linked to ?
Anyway I emailed you the driver in a zip file
Alex -
yes both files i have downloaded
but they doesn´t work
i can installe them , but the drivers are not correct. -
Your CF30 came with Vista loaded
Did the wwan work fine from new?
If it was fine before
The Driver must be the issue at this point and all the drivers that we have found are wrong
You may get lucky as someone here might have a link to W7 compatable drivers for verizonwireless
Alex -
Yes with Vista everything works fine.
So i hope, someone write here how have the same problem.
Many thanks for your help.
Alex -
One last question
The cf30 had verizonwireless originaly
Is verizon available in Germany or has the wwan card been changed to a HDSPA Modem ?
If that is the case we are not downloading the correct software
Alex -
how can i check this?
i have to installed windows7 for a friend of me.
he is technical not the best. So he give it to me.
i dont know if wwan card oder hdspa modem is in the notebook.
But i allready testet the hdspa modem driver from your link
the notebook have on the left side a slot for a phonecard -

First turn it off and take the battery out
Yes , take the 2 screws out and it should slide out. -
I see the wwan card been changed to a HDSPA or even Gobi
The sim card slot is the indication
All the drivers that I have linked to are wrong as you do not have Verizon EVDO Rev A
Alex -
oh my god,
have you drivers for the hdspa or gobi?
Why stand in den Wlan Switch Prog Wireless WAN. -
Please pull the sled out and read what it says
Lets find out exactly what you have or this thread will get to be 6 pages long lol

Thanks for getting back to us with the link for the card. It sure will help when this problem comes up again and it will
Damn 5 pages...well we didn't make it to 6 pages Alex  -
I thought it would solve your problem
That trick has worked for me in the past when I have changed WWAN sleds
Alex -

Do you have a finger print reader, on my cf-51 I have a fingerprint reader and the same folder... to get into it I swipe my finger and am in
Can you open it -
Yes fingerprint is installed.
So the owner must register his fingerprint.
Thanks again. -
toughasnails Toughbook Moderator Moderator
Yes he does and guess what ...you have another problem, I think . Do you have the software for the fingerprint reader ? On my CF-51 it was Upek Eikon Welcome To UPEK - Security Made Simple and when I put windows 7 on it the software had to be upgraded to a new version because the old version would not work
-
Fingerprint software is installed and work.
When i startet, he want to scan my fingerprint. -
toughasnails Toughbook Moderator Moderator
Yes , he can scan all 10 fingers. I guess you are good to go....good luck with it.
