Good, Bad, Ugly
What brands?
How to remove?
How to install?
No I don't really plan on $30.00 or more each to get a Panasonic one...
It's a mk3 LCD and touchscreen assembly, converted to LED. I think I remember Teo, (Ohlip) stating the mk3's have a glossy LCD and if you mix and match LCD and touchscreens, you will get a rainbow effect.
I thought I saw Panasonic lists different screen protectors for different models. Not sure as I am exhausted from the heat and my brain feels fuzzy on the inside..

Shawn,
I have a few OEM versions if you are interested. You can swap something with me later.
Here's what I do. Use a VERY pointy dental pick. (My dentist gives me their older ones! Something you should ALL be asking for at your dentist!) You may be able to use a toothpick also... CAREFULLY pry up one corner and start to peel away slowly and steadily in a diagonal motion. Keep it going until removed. Carefully wipe the edges with a lint free cloth (If you can find one of THOSE please let me know!) and get ready. DO NOT remove the screen protector until you have one you are ready to put back on immediately. You cannot risk scratching the virgin surface as it will show through the screen protector!
The instructions I heard a long time ago involved going into your bathroom and turning on the shower on full hot water... Get it nice and steamy so it knocks down all the lint and particulate matter. I tried that... I still got dust in between mine. Here's how install mine. I use my "Special Toughbook Solvent" (85% water, 15% HighPo Rubbing Alcohol and a few drops of the nicest smelling soap you can find!) I spray this on the screen to mist the whole thing and then I peel off the backing from the screen protector and float it until it is centered correctly. I use the included squeegee and start in the center and start pulling all the liquid out to the sides and corners. I keep a paper towel handy to soak up all the water (not much) that comes out. If it gets crazy crooked or you see dust... Lift it up, rinse it off and start all over. But using this method... I've never had an issue. Keep working the squeegee until you see no more water anywhere, from any direction. Then let it sit for 24 hours before you use the touchscreen.
Let me know if you want one and the magic protector Genie just might drop one off to you! (13.3") -

About 2 years ago I picked up 2 from different sellers from China and they were crap. They were not clear, looked cloudy. They would scratch easy and felt different when you run your finger across it. I ended up getting a couple from a USA seller that Rick told me about and they were great. I can't remember the sellers user name but Rick might remember but they still cost $30.00

Sorta like the padded room I feel like I should be in today.....Exhaustion makes me CRAZY and really WEIRD... -
I have a ton (almost literally) of mailers... They are just all packed in a box where I cannot find! LOL
-
Oh. yeh.... You pack shipments very well.... I have this thing about poorly packed shipments...It really irritates me.
I think fleabay should have a rating for how things are packed... -
-
I will have to look again....I don't recall seeing that..Of course you have a point..Most of the stuff I buy is free shipping
-
It comes up when you leave feedback. If you buy something that has free shipping... The "Rate Shipping Charges" is grayed out and you can't select it.
-
I have seen rate shipping charges. What I would like is rate how well it was packed...Free shipping is not worth much when they throw it in a box without any padding
