    Hi all!
Im a happy owner of cf-30FKK70AE I know its a bit of history but for my needs its still a donkey.
I cant find much details about my machine, I've tried to use a google but without much luck. Most of useful intel came from your forum so I believe you can help me.

So far I know my beast is mk2 with L7500 with win7 and its European version.
I cannot figure out other letters from my model number. But I took apart my laptop and I found it doesn't have GPS, Bluetooth or sim card. But have a touchscreen
I have a feeling my laptop was already modified as does have 4GB RAM and 120GB SSD.

    So here are my questions:

    GPS
Ive tried to find some details on a forum and internet, but most threads are fairly old.
I heard that original Panasonic GPS module isn't the best one. All I can find on internet is an used CF-30 GPS parts.
I read on some threads that there are some aftermarket brands compatibile kits.
Anyone can recommend some recent kit? And ideally a link to a page where I can buy it? For some reason I cant find much parts for CF-30 on web. Maybe because I live in Poland and even amazon doesn't show much results.

    Bluetooth
Same story as with GPS but I think original module (I found few on eBuy) should do the job?
Unless there is some better option now days?

    SIM card.

That's something which really bugs me up. I read that CF-30 module use 3G.
Is it worth to invest? My network provider use 4G/LTE signal.
Im juts thinking about use my mobile as a hotspot.
Just thinking about stronger signal from CF-30 or its just overkill. As I couldn't find any SIMcard module.

To make it bit easier, Im going to use my laptop to work outdoor. Im using it to diagnose some systems and I have to download a drivers sometimes.
GPS would be use with iGO or something similar just in case I will lose network signal. As most of the times Im in a rural areas.

Sorry for that long poem, but most of threads about CF-30 are few years old.
And I've read on this forum about some custom kits for cf-30.
If someone can help me with a links I would be really appreciated. Don't have to be send outside US as I have few friends in US and they would help with shipping.

I know that for many of you guys I might be looking like weirdo but Im quite sentimental LOL. This CF-30 maybe is old, but in this configuration for the software I use its a rocket. And with a spare battery its like a Swiss knife
    Have a nice day!

Tech tough has some version of their own GPS. I don't know if there is a ublox for a cf-30
Pretty much you will need to source the parts off ebay. Bluetooth, ect.
3g will get the job done but most people choose to tether because of additional carrier cost and 4g card cost.
    Congrats on your new unit!

    Hi!
I have seen this page. But I can not find my model.
Its CF-30FKK70AE and I found another sticker inside one cover with CF-30FTSAFZZ

I put my laptop on the part to check what's in it.
My laptop is mk2 4GB WIN7 64bit, 120GB ssd drive, touchscreen, SD cards reader, DVD, wireless, rj45 and rj11 port, 1394, 3xUSB, docking port, display connector and 2x audio jacks

I think that my model is the European version and I think European support for the toughbook is less developed.

I ordered WWAN card with a mounting case. But it's on a way from Canada and I realise that it wont work in europe..
I can get GOBI 4000 card from european network provider for peanuts
so I will try it with a Panasonic drivers. I found them on a different forum. They are for CF-31 TBH, but for win7 64b so I could be a lucky one..

Also I will have a bluetooth and GPS from a broken CF-30.
Im just wondering if I have to change a BIOS, as at the moment there is nothing about BT or GPS in a BIOS settings.
Hope once I will connect a hardware and install drivers it will up and running...

I did some research and it looks like the USA&Canada is like the promised land for CF-30. It's hard to find anything about the European brother.

Thanks to everyone for every advice

I dont know a whole lot about the cf-30 so I am assuming here. When you install the GPS, BT, & Wan the bios will see them. I am not sure if the cf-30 will support anything faster than a gobi2000. You might want to verify.

    yeah...
I am digging the Internet in search of solutions for LTE in CF-30 mk2. My only hope is to find a 64bit win7 driver that will be accepted by panasonic.
on the other handy my worry is the BIOS.

I have never had to deal with WWAN and it will certainly be fun. But the greater joy when I can run LTE

I apologize for a stupid question, but Verizon, AT & T are the names of cellular telephone providers?
AirCardWatcher is an application to configure service provider settings?
I would like to make sure I understand the terminology well.

    thanks

    You are correct.

Use Panasonic cards and something will come up.

I know nothing about it but skylight is a key word to review for you. It's in the link I posted.

Also stick with the multi-carrier section of the link. (I think)

    Best of luck to you.

This is the standard base model number, before they add any options.
    CF-30FTSAFZZ

    CF-30FKK70AE
This is hard to figure out. That is because the 70 in the center means it was built to customer specs. I can't find who the original customer was. The E does mean Europe.

The member BarrMaley on this board might be able to help with European WWAN stuff.
