Hi Guy's, Ive been going over this in my mind for the last few days.. I'm running Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit on my CF-30 sense I purchased it. I have 4 GB ram installed, the 750GB HDD, & so fourth.. Should I go ahead & do a clean install of the 64 bit version to get the max out of my system or just stick with the 32 bit? I know I need to just break down & pick up an SSD too... I trust your judgment over mine any day so any help would be great on this issue. I did some research here, but I still have to ask :D Thanks for your help.

I would definitely stick with the 32 bit. Several have tried 64 and run into several issues with drivers. Additionally, the 64 bit is really made if you need more than 4GB RAM. True, you do loose a bit of memory with 32bit and 4GB but it is really not worth the hassle. (3.5GB vs. 4 GB and most of the "missing" memory is used by the video memory anyways)

NOW... Go buy that SSD! There's a recent thread I posted in and Toughasnails posted a link in it to customize the W7 install when using a SSD. WHOA! I'm glad I did it.

This thing is a BAD now! I get around 10 hours MINIMUM useage now. (With media bay battery) I rarely turn it off. Just close the lid and go into suspend mode.

    I love it!

The MK1's are Core Duo 32 bit only CPU. The MK2 up are 64 bit compatible versions with Core 2 Duo.

ADOR..Is right! The CF-30MK1 is limited to 32bit only MK2 and above can run a 64 bit OS.
