Thank you Toughbook for your instructions to install Win7 on a mk1!
But.. I'm running into the issue of installing the "Misc" driver as a lot of other apps depend on it (DMI, Battery Recal, PC Info, etc.) The very helpful (note sarcasm) PDF file on installation says I need to go into the Device Manager and find an ACPI ID that is "unknown." I have none of that, and none of the ACPI IDs match the one in the PDF! Therefore I can't install the misc driver and all the associated programs that require it.![]()
Anybody else run into this problem? I'm on a CF-30CASAZBM

You have to upgrade the bois to vista first. Then you will have a unkown device for that driver. You need to follow the steps to the letter.

That's the thing... I have!! I'm running 1.01L19, which is the Vista & 2GB DIMM BIOS.

you need Bios v1.01L20 Embedded V1.10L11

Ahhh.. L20 is only on the Panasonic Singapore site! The US site only has L19! I've included the BIOS and PDF instructions as a reference.

If you look up my post you will find all the info you need on this. I'm the one that solved the issues with windows 7. The Bois is on the USA sight, it's just not under the Bois area. It's harder to find and I'm not sure why it's not with the other Bois. Go over to Robs sight and do some reading all the files are there that you need to get you up and running.

Yup, you're right. Of course the info is still spread out and difficult to find. I'll hopefully be updating the CF-30 part of toughwiki.com with this info so it'll be consolidated into one document in one place...
